The First real village the party comes to after landing in the strange land of Barovia. Home of the Durst Manor turned Death house, a lone shop and tavern and home to a surprisingly peaceful bunch of residents outside of course what the locals refer to as [[Strahd Von Zarovich|The Devil]] and his underlings. The Village is overlooked by the looming [[Castle Ravenloft]] to the north behind the village Church. ### Quests / Points of Interest - It was here the party met [[Mary]], who's daughter [[Gertruda]] went missing. It was suspected that [[Doru]] took her for them both to flee to [[Vallaki]], but we learned that this would be false as when we eventually found [[Doru]], he had been turned into a vampire spawn and was confused and concerned as to why [[Gertruda]] hadn't been returned home. - Early into our arrival here we came across an [[Old Lady]] selling pastries. After purchasing, not listening to the warning and consuming the whole thing, we learned that they knock someone unconscious neigh instantly. After some time passes we came across her again, this time accepting a child as payment. After learning this is a normal thing and the children she takes are the ones who make the pastries, its been considered to stop by her mill that she marked on our map. - It was here the party was also tasked by [[Ismark Kolyanovich]] to escort his sister [[Ireena Kolyana]] to the town of [[Vallaki]], far away from the one who would take her, [[Strahd Von Zarovich|Strahd]], as he is infatuated with her and has already bitten her twice. A third bite would turn her into a spawn and several lifetimes of servitude and despair would then await her
